Loving Icheon!

Question of the Week: What is a favorite feature of your new apartment?

Answer: Hahaha funny you should ask that question. So to preface this, it is one of the newest houses in the mission (missionaries moved in just a few weeks ago) and it is a smart house. So you can call the elevator from inside the house, control the the lights and everything from one panel and a ton of other stuff! It's so much tech I don't know how to use it all. Oh, and you can set the house to wake you up, so I haven't had to use my alarm clock at all. So there's a lot I like about it, but my favorite thing... I don't know, haha it's all really good (:

Anyways, on to my new area and stuff! Ahhh I love it out here in 이천 [Icheon]! It's great! It is soooooo much more country side though!! There's fields and street markets (I love those, haha I'll have to send a picture sometime of those and the fields and the houses!!! (yes real houses!!! I haven't seen one of those in 3 months no joke)... and now I realize I put parenthesis inside of parenthesis.... haha oh well!) It's also the biggest area in the mission and covers multiple cities and is so big in fact it takes an hour ride to get to the nearest actual city 여주 [Yeoju].

The members and bishop and everyone out here is so great!! The bishop lives in this little community he made of members houses called Bountiful!!! (so I sort of returned to Bountiful last night!!!) It is so cool and out in the middle of nowhere and there's actually houses!!! (sorry but that is so weird for me to see now that it's a big deal). The only ward in our area though is the 이천 [Icheon] ward and it just became that a few months ago! And there's a huge push for missionary work in the ward, both for new members and reactivating less actives because they're still meeting in the branch meeting place for now but if they get enough more active members they can get their own building! So the ward is super excited and willing to help and they even talked in ward council about how they want us to help motivate the members to really be the ones leading the missionary efforts! They are amazing! It's also a super young ward, I KID you not, the ward's average age is probably 16 because they have so many little kids!! It's amazing!!

I love this place so much (just like I loved 교대 [Gangnam], but I know this is exactly where I'm supposed to be right now because God has always put me exactly where I need to be, and he will continue to as long as I do my part in following Him and His direction. With my last area as well I had this same feeling when I got there, and it got renewed throughout those two transfers and I got that confirmation many times already here (: ). I'm excited to work here and tell you all about it, and I'm excited to continue to see what the Lord has in store for me to learn and do here! I love you all so much!!

Love Elder Lott

Our Thanksgiving Meal!!!  Only an hour long
before getting back to work, but it was good!
[He's told us pizza is expensive there, so this
would have been a real treat for them. 💕

Sorry there's not more.  I'll do better at taking
pictures of so many of the cool things here!
