Leaving Bucheon

This last week we got transfer calls!! And to my surprise I'm moving again!! (: to 김포 [Gimpo] with Elder Gill!! It's going to be tons of fun!!! We lived together when he was a greenie when I was in 신갈 [Icheon] with Elder Jo so we already know each other a bit and he's a great guy so I'm looking forward to this next transfer! (: This past week was pretty great though. We were busy all week meeting tons of new and old people, throw in an exchange with the ap's, and a ward party/karaoke night and you've got a pretty darn busy week!

Haha, so one fun story, we've been meeting this one kid [B] for a while and he's a bit shy and likes his skateboard and reading books and learning about science and that kind of stuff. Not really the guy to branch out and talk to a lot of people. But we invited him to the ward party anyways. So here in Korea (if you didn't already know this) karaoke is huge! So throughout the night there had been people getting up in front of the ward and doing karaoke. And as it's nearing the end, the brother who's running it invites [B] to do it and me and my comp just are shocked for a second and then quickly tell him that he can say no and that he doesn't have to do it. Because this is something that would for sure put him out of his comfort zone and probably embarrass him. But he just reluctantly said yes and went up to the front.... and absolutely wrecked it!!!! He smashed it out of the park!! My goodness, it was crazy he was so good!! It was amazing!! haha And so I just had it confirmed that every Korean has it in their blood to do karaoke. It was pretty fun.

Question of the Week: Is professional video gaming (eSports) popular in South Korea?

Answer: (So for this next little bit to source all my writings, I'm giving credit to my past comp, Elder Forthman (: ) Haha yep it is! So the Korean teams have won the world championship for the past few years. And often it's their 1 and 2 teams in the championships playing each other. So yep, it's pretty popular!
