Leaving Bucheon

Image
This last week we got transfer calls!! And to my surprise I'm moving again!! (: to 김포 [Gimpo] with Elder Gill!! It's going to be tons of fun!!! We lived together when he was a greenie when I was in 신갈 [Icheon] with Elder Jo so we already know each other a bit and he's a great guy so I'm looking forward to this next transfer! (: This past week was pretty great though. We were busy all week meeting tons of new and old people, throw in an exchange with the ap's, and a ward party/karaoke night and you've got a pretty darn busy week! Haha, so one fun story, we've been meeting this one kid [B] for a while and he's a bit shy and likes his skateboard and reading books and learning about science and that kind of stuff. Not really the guy to branch out and talk to a lot of people. But we invited him to the ward party anyways. So here in Korea (if you didn't already know this) karaoke is huge! So throughout the night there had been people getting up in fron

Walk in Faith

So a pretty basic but great week here in 부천 [Bucheon] (don't know if I've said this before but the 부boo 자jaw 富 makes it so the city's name in English is Bountiful haha, cool fact)! First had live(ish) octopus haha and it was pretty good! Met with all of our progressing investigators at different times this week which was also great! hmm I don't know it was all just an ordinary week haha so I don't know if I have a lot to say.... This week though upon a few questions from investigators I have had to study deeper into the plan of salvation than I have before, and it has really deepened my testimony that we are God's children, and He loves us! We don't understand every little detail now but we don't need to, we have enough and if we walk in faith learning what we need to learn little by little we will make our way back and everything will become clear. I testify the Jesus is the Christ the Messiah and Savior promised to the Israelite's, the Nephite

Korea is really getting blessed with love and attention from the Lord

Another power packed amazing week!! So if you read back in my emails, I talked about a Mongolian member that we met and showed him where the church was and through a few of 하나님의 주신 [God's giving] miracles were able to talk with him. (If I didn't write about that to everybody, I know I wrote about it to some of you haha.) Anyways we had dinner with him, and he made us some Mongolian food and it was amazing!! But better than that was just meeting with him and reading the scriptures with him. We aren't able to really communicate with him super well, but as we read the Book of Mormon together (him in Mongolian and us in Korean because he believes that as he hears and listens to the Korean he'll learn the language faster, which I can testify from my personal experience that that does work) and talked about it and his family the sweet spirit that filled his humble one room apartment is definitely an experience that I will hold in my heart and never forget. Then the next d

Another great week here in Korea!!!! This week was a ton of fun and full of great things!! The early part of week was spent with a lot of planning and prepping for our zone conference training which went really well. But even with having to dedicate a lot of time to planning we were able to still meet with a few of our great investigators! Such as a collage student (I don't know if I told y'all about him last time or not) but he committed himself to read the entire 1st Nephi in a week and he did it!! So we literally just talked about that and answered his questions and discussed 1st Nephi! It was great!! And I've actually been reading it in Korean lately so I was able to answer some of his questions about how it's written (because it is honestly written a bit weird) but I was able to explain Korean to someone who has Korean literature as their major so I'm just a little prideful about that. But he's so amazing!! And then another one of our investigators cam

So this week was pretty great again!! Here in Korea this last week and this next week is test week, so students everywhere have been super busy! (except the ones that finished their tests this last week) Like they are literally only studying. Seminary and all youth activities have been canceled. And it's been raining a lot but that hasn't stopped us! (: We've still been getting out there and working hard and we were blessed to meet with a few new people! So that's great!! umm Where to begin.... Well, I'll start with a Chinese pastor I met on the train heading to a meeting at the mission home. Which is a long train ride. But I was blessed to talk with this man. He's super cool and his family history is pretty great. Talking with him on the train for over an hour was fun. I'm sorry my writing skills seem super bad right now everything seems disconnected but anyways. We talked and talked and I showed him the Book of Mormon and we talked about it and he was r
