Transfer Calls

Image
So this week we got transfer calls. And this time I've got a pretty cool experience to share. But for those of you who can't wait till the end to know, I'll first say that I am moving, to 신갈 [ Singal ] ward and my comp will be 조재목 장로님 [ Elder Jo ]!!!!! yay!!! Some of you might recognize the name or maybe when I send pictures later realize who he is, but simply put we were in the MTC together!! He's great. I'm looking forward to it for so many reasons!! Anyways, on to the super cool story about this and how I defiantly know God is involved. So for the last little while I've kind of known that I would be leaving 이천 [Icheon], and I've honestly been a bit sad to leave this place. After all, I love the people here and have made so many friends and 이천 [ Icheon ] is just amazing!!! Anyways, last Friday in our zone we had a 전도 [ proselyting ] activity in 분당 [ ? ]! So we showed up there and then switched companions for the activity and then hit the streets and 전도&#

Ward Conference/Birthday

This week was good!! This Sunday was pretty great! It was the birthday of 이천 [ Icheon ] branch becoming a ward and it was ward conference!! It was quite the event! So many people came out including leadership, less actives and investigators. And my goodness it was so perfectly orchestrated by God!! All the talks and lessons and everything were perfect! Literally I was sitting with an investigator during priesthood and we're talking before the lesson really starts and he asks about callings and how it all works especially with apostles and higher callings as well as lower ones, but the lesson was about to start so I told him I would answer it after when we were in more of a lesson setting and could describe it all and he was ok with that so we just started the general priesthood lesson. And then part way through the lesson it somehow comes around to that type of thing and the stake president talked about it (not specifically to our investigator but to the whole class) and perfectl

Gifts of the Spirit Apply to Sports Too!

This week was really good (: It flew by!! there was not a day this week that we were not busy going from one thing to another!! Which is super awesome as a missionary (: At least personally I like it that way. Constantly having something to do and arriving home at night tired and just ready to crash onto my little floor mat, thank God for everything that he blessed us with that day, and go to sleep is the best!! This week we had a lot of time dedicated to teenagers and younger adults. Particularly playing sports with them from soccer to ping pong and doing other activities with them! And it's been amazing! We can't go down the street anymore without having someone we know come up to us and say hi and ask when we're going to meet up again!! It's great! And I do have to say my soccer skills have improved incredibly!! Gifts of the spirit apply to sports too! (; haha Which is good because if you play soccer with a Korean and play well, you pretty much become best friends

So this week was good (: Really good (: The best part of my week and probably one of the highlights of my mission is a text I got from my friend who I said goodbye to a little while back because he's going to college. We've been staying in touch and talking still, but I hadn't talked to him at all on Sunday until he sent me a message that night. Now a bit of background, this is the same friend I talked about last week, and he hadn't been able to come to church the whole time we were meeting for various reasons that may or may not have been fixed by him leaving home for college. Anyways, the text I got from him is that he finally met the missionaries in his area, and he went to church, AND he liked and and said everyone was nice and it was better than he expected!!!!! 😆😮😊😆 My goodness!!!!! adl;kfjdsa;lkfdj;lasdkfjasd!!! I cannot express how happy I was!!! We then talked a bit and it was amazing!!! One of my best friends went to church!! And he liked it!! ahhhhhahdh
