Arrived in Korea!

Image
Mom Note: It has been great fun watching Elder Lott's flights travel around the earth.  We were so very blessed to receive a picture and short video from someone who was traveling on the TRAX train to the airport with the missionaries leaving the MTC on Monday morning.  I've had trouble loading video to the blog, so if you want to see it, I'll happily whip out my phone next time I see you! 6:30am on the TRAX train to Salt Lake International Airport Love That Smile! He was able to make a 3-4 minute phone call from the Salt Lake City airport, and how wonderful it was to hear his voice!  He also spoke to his dad at work, and left a message for his sister who was at school.  There wasn't time for much else - it was a quick departure and even quicker transfer in Seattle to the plane that would take him to Incheon International Airport in South Korea.  We were happy to have the flight arrive 30 minutes early so we could get to bed sooner!   Arrived

Dynamic Duo

This week has been amazing!!! (again) Among other things we received our flight plans!!! And this will be my last P-day until Korea!! Super excited!! This week as well at one of our dinner conversations Elder Kellis and I got compared to just about every Dynamic Duo from tv and movies. Woody and Buzz (after they are friends), Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat, Mike and Sully, and a lot of others. It's crazy how well they fit too! Mom Note:  For those of you who know Elder Lott, it's particularly funny that they are joking about The Man in the Yellow Hat! This week I've studied a lot about Christ and His Atonement and something that really stuck out to me was in Luke 23:39-43 . I know it's not anything new but it really hit me hard and I want to share it. In these moments Christ was in the middle of the atonement, suffering for us and those beside him.  Maybe even in that moment suffering for the sins of the men on either side of him and he takes

Shorter letter this week, sorry. First off, congratulations to Hayden and Michaela!! Yay! Elder Lott's brother was married last Friday. Although we missed having Elder Lott with us,  it was a beautiful sealing, and we couldn't have asked  for a better day or new daughter-in-law. 💕 It has been another great week here! The language is coming faster and faster especially as I focus on others and learning for my investigators. One such example is with my reading of the Korean Book of Mormon. Which apparently is even more confusing than regular scriptures and many Koreans would rather read the English version if possible even if they don't know English that well. (that's what I've heard at least) Anyways we asked one of our investigators to read a particular chapter in it and he said yes. So in going along with Elder Holland's words "We cannot ask our investigators to do something we ourselves are not doing" or something like that, my compa

These past few days have been great!!! Wednesday, we hosted international missionaries that arived to the MTC that day and I helped a half Brittish half German Elder who was fluent in 5 languages!!!! (he said four but didn't include English in that but he was) and he could speak about a dozen more enough to get by. He was an amazing elder and will do great things in Canada. Thursday we got our Korean name tags!! My Korean spelling for my name is 랏 정로 (Lott Elder) Friday we did an English fast for the whole day and that was great!! Saturday was awesome too! We got to host the MTC open house and we got to talk with hundreds of people!! (mom I think you got some pictures from them) And I met some reeaaaally distant cousins. (I emailed dad about that) While doing that I got to talk with a Korean family!! It was awesome!! Then on Sunday we not only got front row seats for the devotional thanks to an amazing senior missionary but they had us all stay and watch the Characters of Chris
