Hand of God in Our Lives

Image
Ahh this week had so many miracles!!!!! It was amazing!! Super hard at times to the point of tears, but super amazing!!!! The Lord definitely directed us this week. One of the many miricles that happened this week was along our long walk to   숭실   university (I think that's how it's spelled...). We wanted to find an old golden investigator from the area book who goes to school there. So we prayed and prayed and felt that we should walk there at a certain time in the morning. And so we did. We didn't find him.... But! along the way we talked with another student for about 30 minutes!!! And he had questions about the Book of Mormon and baptism and it was amazing!!! I could see the spirit working in his eyes. Ahhh that was amazing. He denied to switch numbers, but took ours (I know we'll probably never see him again...). And he took a Book of Mormon and is going to read it. I know he will, the spirit was truly there in that conversation and I know if nothing else a see

Preparation Precedes Power

Image
This week was really busy, but really really great!!! We made some pretty big goals at the begining of the week, and with God's help we were able to accomplish or nearly accomplish all of them!!! I want to add to that preparation precedes power (mom could you look up who said that please haha (: )      [Mom note:  I wasn't certain exactly what talk or book he is referring to, so for now, I'll put a link to a talk by President Thomas S. Monson titled Preparation Precedes Performance.  Click here to go to the link. ]    We made so many plans to accomplish our goals and it took forever, but I know because we put in our best efforts God multiplied our abilities and gave us success.  On a cultural note the food here is absolutely amazing!! I haven't had one thing I haven't liked yet. A lot of it is super hot but it's sooo good! I encourage everyone to go and eat some Korean food. The ice cream here is really good too! But expensive like every dairy product :/ oh w

Another Amazing Week!!

Another amazing week!! (I don't know how many times I've said that already but it's so true every time). The work is so busy most of the week is a blur but I have two experiences I would like to share. The first one is about how important members are. We brought an investigator to church this week and the two things he said that I understood were that a particular member made his experience so good and made an amazing impression and because of that he said 'see you next week'. Members matter so much in missionary work!! President Thomas S. Monson General Conference, April 2013 The second is that God puts us where and when we need to be if we listen to Him. We were walking down the street, and all of a sudden a lady comes up to us and asks us for our book (unheard of!! right??) and then we find out she was a member when she was younger but hadn't gone to church for many years. Anyways, she came back to church this Sunday!! And we introduced her to

I made it!! I'm in Korea!!

I made it!! I'm in Korea!! I love it!! So much has happened, and there's so much I want to say, but there's not enough time ahhh! Oh well, I'll just hit some high points. Elder Lott with Sister and President Turner Picture is from the Mission President's blog:   http://koreaseoulsouthmission.blogspot.com First off my trainer is Elder Chu, he's from Puson (I spelled that wrong) Korea!!! We speak just enough of each others language to get by. (There have been a few funny misunderstandings though with the language, but it's all been great!) It has definitely pushed me to learn the language so much more!! He's a great Elder and has been so patient with me. He's a legend in the mission as far as street proselyting goes, and I can definitely see why!! He has no shame and we talk with EVERYONE giving high fives, handshakes, and doing anything we can to talk to everyone on the street! He has taught me so much!!  Elder Lott with his trainer,
