Lizard, Big Rain Puddles and the Zoo

Well this past week has been pretty great to say the least!!! To sum it up: great investigators and members, a lizard on exchanges, pouring rain and big puddles, and a zoo(: Haha, sounds like a great week right?? Well to expound on that, as far as missionary work goes we had a few meetings with investigators and were able to get members there too and it went great!! One of our friends has now accepted to be baptized in June!! Heck yeah! And his friend didn't say yes, but he's thinking about it. But I'm confident he'll get baptized with his friend(: Especially as they continue to get closer with the ward on days like today were we have a ward picnic!

And then the lizard part ㅋㅋ [ha ha]. Well I happened to catch a lizard on exchanges with the AP and now that is what half the mission knows me for, haha (partially because I put him in my mouth to put him to sleep like dad taught me, haha) I'll send some pictures next week (:

And then the pouring rain, haha. Well one night Elder Jesse and I went out to visit a less active then missed the stop by a long way so we then had to walk a while. And we forgot our umbrellas... and it started to pooooour. It was insane haha, but it made it easy to talk to people because they would see us and because they're nice, invite us under their umbrella and then we could share the restored gospel with them pretty easily because they didn't want to kick us out into the rain so they had to listen, haha.

And then the zoo yesterday was our mission activity! I have pictures of all those things and more but don't have time to send them... sorry - that may be all I send next email time, haha love you all!!!! This is Gods work and His Church!! Happy 부처님의 오신 날 (the day that Buddha came(: )

Love, Elder Lott

On Buddha’s Birthday, many Buddhists and other South Koreans create lotus lanterns to hang outside of homes. A typical lotus lantern is made of hanji and can be simple or elaborate depending on the skill and effort of the creator. Each lantern usually has a small tea light inside of it to make it glow on the evening of Buddha’s Birthday. No two lotus lanterns are exactly alike, so people often take great joy in going on a stroll to check out all of the lanterns. Because of the large presence of lanterns in South Korea on Buddha’s Birthday, the holiday has become known as the Festival of Lanterns by foreigners - information from https://publicholidays.co.kr/buddhas-birthday/

Buddhist men in traditional dress lead humongous lanterns through the streets of Seoul as they enjoy the Lotus Lantern Festival.  Read more by clicking here

Question of the Week: In England, Prince Harry married an American actress this week. It was huge in the United States. Was it a big deal in Korea, or did you even know about it?

Answer: I honestly didn't even know about it at all. Cool cool.
